2023-05-18 18:24:30 +0000 UTCMaybe answer a couple of questions you had. This came out in 1972 like a couple people said. The Jesuits are a member of the Roman catholic priesthood. Karras was indeed Greek. Also the room they filmed in was essentially a large refrigerator, to get the hot breathe scenes. The old priest was actually only 44 when this was filmed and had extensive makeup to look old. I really like this movie, but it does really show its age in the acting style I think. Some acting is a little overdone. Overall 4/5

Haha I mean it really is supposed to be shocking and it is, but it's also funny as hell. I had to pause the video cuz I was dieing from laughter!!! I still laughing while typing this!!! One of my favorite reactions so far. Oh for anyone interested,, there are sequels to this movie. The second movie is a complete waste of time so you can skip it. The Exorcist III is actually good and the story picks up right where the first movie ends, I recommend it. There is prequel as well but it is not so good, no need to watch that one.

I watched this many many years ago so I feel it hit me way way harder then because at the time there wasn't many movies better than the Exorcist. The horror genre has lots of great movies now because the Exorcist was such a huge influence on filmmakers, even to this day. I gib 5 out of 5 rating for these reasons. TY TY Biss.

I, myself however have never been able to get through this whole movie in one sitting. I don't think it's that great. Sorry Madalina, I only watched the "shocking scenes" to get your reaction. I give it a 2.5-3 out of 5. As for 1973, that was a great fuckin year! The United States pulled out of Vietnam, the World Trade Center opened, a horse became the most popular athlete in the world, and I was born three months before this movie premiered.
