Someone already mentioned "Real Genius" which is a great fun movie. I would also recommend "Tombstone (1993)" which in addition to Val Kilmer has an excellent cast. It's a period Western movie.

He also had small roles really early in two great movies, The Outsiders and Taps that are really worth the watch as well. And for cheeky eye candy, check out All the Right Moves.

Never noticed the teeth thing before, but now that I have, I can't unsee it. Thanks! Iceman was played by Val Kilmer. Two movies of his that you should check out are Real Genius and Willow. Agree with your rating, 4 out of 5. Also Top Gun, Maverick is better than this one.
