2025-04-02 17:39:25 +0000 UTCThis feels really accurate. Watching in english feels awkward, just feels a bit unnatural. It really feels like the japanese VAs are more in character sort of, and finding out that japanese people have the exact same problem but the other way around is pretty cool!

I'm a mixed Japanese and English so what you're saying is reaallyyy relatable. But I prefer subs cuz I'm too lazy to read(and if I missed something i have the english subs to back me up) , also I really love the Japanese VAs they feel more in character sometimes. These are just my opinions btw!

2025-04-02 12:09:09 +0000 UTCI speak both Japanese and English, and honestly, I like both subs and dubs. When I was living in Japan, a lot of Japanese people told me they actually prefer dubs. They said subs can feel kind of cringey or unnatural, like people don’t talk like that. So for them, dubs just felt more natural or easier to enjoy.
