Admiral Aokiji is indeed quite a large man at almost 10 feet tall (9'9") and makes a tall woman like Robin (6'2") look tiny. Luffy is 5'8", Zoro is 5'10", Nami is 5'7", Usopp is 5'9", Sanji is 5'10" (exactly 1 cm shorter than Zoro lol), and Chopper is 2'11" in the form we usually see him in. Just for fun, I'll tell you the heights of the 2 giants we met on Little Garden. Dorry is 74'2" and Brogy is 69'10" Aokiji, as he is introduced in these episodes, is a fascinating character. At this point in the story, we know that he knows Robin and let her escape his custody when she was a child, that he is one of 3 admirals in the Navy/Marines, that he owes Luffy's grandfather for something he did for him in the past, that he's grateful for Luffy taking down Crocodile, that he's lazy, that he's kind to the strand people, and that he's a bit calculating as he's clearly watching the Straw Hats to see what kind of people they are. His fight with the Straw Hats, as well as his duel with Luffy, prove that the world is bigger than our crew knows. They've never faced this kind of threat together as a crew and it tests their mettle. In order to save his crew, Luffy challenges Aokiji to a duel, which binds them both to a code of honor that the dispute is settled upon the end of the duel. Luffy loses the fight but saves his crew. He loves his crew so much that he was willing to put his life on the line for them 😭 I hope you enjoy this saga that you've started with in Long Ring Long Land (looks like you're currently in the Water 7 arc) 😁😁😁
