one of the sad thing about the anime is how most of the cover story are not in it ( mini adventure that have on page per chapter usually following other characters than the main cast) for example we have the story of how Jango and Fullbody met while doing a dance contest, stuff happens and Fullbody capture Jango because it's his duty, when Jnago is going to be executed, Fullbody intervenes and beg pardon for his friend, they are later recruited by Hina as Mop boys (Fullbody being demoted)

2024-12-13 13:46:05 +0000 UTCMy personal theory/head-canon is that Hina and Smoker used to date while they were training in the Navy, but they broke up while remaining friends, and their relationship chilled out and changed into that of trusted and reliable co-workers who sometimes can annoy each other, but they know each other too well so they can speak honestly together. I bet that heads-tails coinflip that Smoker did is how they've settled arguments from way back in the day. Smoker flips his coin, and Hina just seemed so used to it that she immediately called Heads.
