I wanted to get your opinions on 2 things.
1. I never watched an Isekai before and I keep getting told to try them out. I want to dabble into the genre so what show should I start with?
2. While it's not technically an anime, I was recommended Arcane. It looks very interesting, so I kinda want to watch it. Would that be something you guys are interested in watching with me?

2024-10-02 20:26:08 +0000 UTCFor some background, Isekais makes for good reactions content because of the action but they often don't have a decent story and this genre is often an excuse for the protagonist to be the center of attention from all the lightly dressed and horniest men/women/others of the fantasy world with dubious morality they reborn into, which isn't necessarily a bad thing depending of what you want from a show. 2024-10-02 19:53:37 +0000 UTCI wanna put a warning out there for if you decide to watch Mushoku Tensei. It's a really good anime, but it's got a lot of very uncomfortable scenes in it. A recommendation I have for you is Dorohedoro. 👌🏻 A very well done dark and unique anime! It's kind of like Chainsaw Man in the animation/world building fashion. I will warn you about the animation, it's mostly CG/3D. I will say though, it lends itself well to the anime. It's one of the only anime I've seen that uses this animation style and actually does amazing with it!

I hope you're caught up entirely to be speaking on it like this, because there's more to it than just suffering (though there is much of that). Narratively speaking, this is one of the most well written shows out there. It's hard for me to believe you were comprehending everything when you think it's only about gore, death and drama. The only other thing I imagine deterring you from it is it simply being TOO intense for YOU, which I can more easily sympathize with and understand.

Overall its a wholesome show with great worldbuilding and characters, and ofcource with its fair share of fights 😎👍 Would recommend!

Sword Art Online - ( Is not an Isekai technically but has some elements that make people think it does still pretty good otherwise just going in without and bias and you’ll probably love it.) 3. Combatants will be dispatched - (very short, about 12 episodes and has tropes from most Isekai anime that will get you a feel for the genre, but it also makes fun of them and a really really hilarious way. Also it’s not mainstream so it would give a nice change of pace to your channel.)

2024-10-02 15:04:20 +0000 UTCYou'll definitely see a lot of: - Reincarnated as a Slime - ReZero - Mushoku Tensei - Konosuba Some other ones I would recommend as well would be: - Grimgar of Fantasy and Ash - Log Horizon - The Devil is a Part Timer ReZero would be a good starting spot. Especially with season 3 dropping today, it may be a good chance to try out the series. Same thing with Arcane as season 2 drops next month I believe (these are both also just phenomenal shows). Anywho, sorry for the long comment and thank you for the content you put out

Another anime that's coming out soon is Dandadan. It's out this weekend and the hype is real. It's going to be the next big thing, the manga is amazing and the first three episode premiere in theaters was an experience. Definitely check it out.
