Such an amazing and emotional episodes from half the season until now nothing but peak anime. Thank you so much Ali for reacting to this masterpiece. Can't wait for next season! This show is a life lesson. The very first episode of season 1 is named " Somewhere Not Here". Kinda poetic that Pater's last word is about Einar and Thorfinn going Somewhere Not Here. The ending was amazing.. You see Thors and Helga as young, Leif and Askeladd, it's like a timeline of all the people that paved the way for Thorfinn and now it's his time!! Thorfinn's 4 parental figures. CANT WAAAAIT "Carve that encounter into me"

2024-09-29 04:17:45 +0000 UTCIt's good to see Thorfinn was able to change Canute to the point where it literally changed his whole rule. He saved him from the curse of the crown. A true warrior really needs no sword. He did with words what so many couldn't do with swords. He stopped a conqueror as big as Canute was. To create a place people would want to choose to live in over the peace of death. What a wonderful goal. I think everyone came to respect Olmar. He's a good character. Snake giving his real name to Thorfinn and Einar at the end shows how much he trusted them and he knew, no matter what he had done in the past, they wouldn't judge him and his past and would only look at what he is now. Good bye farm and welcome back home. I love his sister. Even if she forgot who he was, it's great seeing that she's doing well. Even if everyone else forgot who he was, mother will always recognize their own son. No matter how much time has passed. Such a beautiful moment. Had me snotting and crying all over my table. I'm so happy everyone was on his side to go to Vinland and build a peaceful village there. Especially Leif. I feel like he doesn't have too many years left in him and whenever he dies I'm gonna be bawling. He's too sweet to die. Whatever comes in season 3, I'm ready for it.

There was a tease from one of the animators I think where they said "Thorfinn's journey will continue" after the final episode of season 2 aired. However, there were a lot of mixed reviews for this season, despite the fact that it was a nominee for anime of the year this year. One of the best pieces of media I've ever seen, and it's an anime that's message truly transcends media itself. I truly think if everyone watched Vinland Saga and were able to digest the real meaning of this show, the world would be a better place.
