I finally made it to patreon, so I'm gonna continue watching and commenting here.
Killing someone makes a person a real man? Not sure if Thorfinn would agree with that.
Speaking of him, he seems to be having real bad nightmares now, I really feel bad for him. I wonder if it's the same kind of dreams he had in season 1?
Einar is so wholesome about Arnheid. It's kinda cute seeing him love like that.
Olmar is a coward. He's the average person who dreams of greatness, but can't achieve it because of how much of a coward he is. Most people are like this in today's age. There's so many people, me included, who think warriors are cool and that when an intruder came into my house I'd do this or that, but in reality, people are cowards. Most people wouldn't do anything. Nobody would put themselves at risk. Especially in a place like a battlefield. That's not even mentioning how scary it would be to actually take someone's life.
Thorfinn being so lifeless now that he lost his meaning in life... You can clearly see he's given up. He literally wants to die.
Aaaaaand he's back. Even if just for a second. He thinks he wants to die, but deep down he doesn't. Snake here gave him some hope it seems. Now it's just up to Thorfinn to find out what he wants to do in life.
Pater is such a nice person. You can tell that he really cares about Einar and Thorfinn, especially when he used to be a slave too.
I absolutely love this exchange between Thorfinn and Einar. It really goes to show that even if you think nothing in your life has gone right or not a singular good thing has happened to you, but if you're alive, that's already a blessing. Being alive is good. Even if you're a murderer, even if you go through every day in pain, haunted by nightmares, you are alive. And if you're alive, you have a chance to make something with your life.
I guess this is a good time to mention that the author has said that he loves writing about life, love and death. This show really captures all that. But more about that on later episodes.

Isn't it both frightening and sad at the same time how Thorfinn can endure slashes, people choking him in his sleep but what scares him the most is his demons from the past and regrets. Feel so bad for him. Episode 3 is so good. The visuals, the OST and the storytelling is top notch.
