UPDATE!! + One Piece!!

Heyy~ 💗

I plan to start 2 to 3 new shows here; Jujutsu Kaisen, One Piece, + 1 more (potentially).

I want to start One Piece but 1000 episodes is overwhelming lol. I was thinking of starting with the live-action to dip my toes in then moving to the anime. I heard that it was good. What do you guys think I should start with? (If I start with the live action then I'll definitely move to the anime right after)ヽ(^◇^*)/

PS: I recently had Surgery (I’m okay!) and it’s putting a little halt on my recordings, especially Demon Slayer and Kaiju weekly episodes. I'll record double episodes when I'm back, plus One Piece and JJK. 🙏

I know this was posted a while ago, but I will write my opinion anyway :D. The one piece live action covers about 45 episodes of the anime, however, since it does this a lot is cut from the show. Still would you start with it, you will still experience it in the anime. There is a pretty big spoiler that they added in the Live action that you dont experience until episode 300 something, some people reacting and other viewers have said that they felt that experience compared to the anime was a bit less climactic, however its not something that ruins anything other than the moment. Also, while one piece feels long, its structured in arcs, which all have beginnings and endings while still following an overaching story that all ties into eachother, if you skip filler episodes you will reduce the amount of episodes by quite a bit. One Piece is one of those shows where you enjoy the ride, since its focused pretty heavy on adventure and character growth so dont feel intimidated its long, as when you eventually reach the end it will feel like it wasnt enough.

The problem with live action is that it breaks the big spoilers and the backstory which is botched in the live action which does not prevent it from being a good series, the best on Netflix but The problem with live action is that it breaks the big spoilers and the backstory which are botched in the live action which does not prevent it from being a good series, the best on Netflix but the anime is better

Sounds great. Get well soon.

i would watch the anime first and then the live action for fun. the live action isn't 100% lore accurate and might confuse you when you go to watch the anime

Poseidon

I feel like if you watch the Live Action, then you should still watch the anime from the beginning to get a feel for everything the Live Action had to change or miss for time.

The live action n the anime won’t give u the same experiences.. live action did an amazing job at the adaptation but u get the extra trill from the anime.. all the extra little details u’ll miss out on n all the true feels of getting to actually know these original characters from the anime..

Myo

I would recommend the anime because the live action spoils some big moments that happen way later in the anime an spoil that moment. Good recovery from your op

I'd say starting with the live action is the right choice, it's a nice intro to the world and story. If you would do it the other way around it might be hard to stop the anime just to watch the live action.

Maybe even start with the live action and then move onto the anime, but I definitely recommend the anime. That was my vote.

Both are great! If you want to dive into the world of One Piece easily then I'd suggest the live action first. It's not a substitute for the anime, but it's a good starting point!
