Frieren, the story about the quest after the quest lol. Frieren has no problem doing what RPGs would consider side quests due to her age and inquisitive nature. Frieren definitely knows her companions better than she herself realizes, especially with her current companion, Fern. In fact, she knew it was Fern's birthday when Fern didn't realize it herself. Due to Fern's youth, she's basically just seeing what's right in front of her, which is why she followed Frieren in secret only to find out that Frieren was planning a birthday party of a sort for her ❤️❤️❤️. Because of her age and experience, Frieren is able to see the larger picture compared to Fern. The fight against Qual is so interesting because it shows how far human civilization can advance in a short amount of time. 80 years ago, Qual was unstoppable. Now, his specialized attack is just normal offensive magic that can be easily blocked by a standard defensive spell. And Frieren adds insult to injury by killing Qual with his own spell. Eisen is such a soft-spoken, but good man. He just wants to help out his former companion. And now Frieren has a reason for her journey, turning it into a genuine quest. In order to get closure, she needs to talk to Himmel again at the place where they defeated and killed the demon king himself. The quest after the quest.
