Eisen's like, "It might not look like it, but I'm definitely older than I was. See, look, there's exactly one more wrinkle on my face right here" lol. I love Frieren (both the show and the character lol). She says that she doesn't understand humans and that she doesn't understand Himmel, but, in these first 2 episodes, we see that she understands him a lot more than she said she does (more than she herself realizes, even). Heiter is great. The way he tricks Frieren into taking on Fern (baby Fern is adorable in episode 1 when we first meet her) is too wholesome. She pats Fern on the head later in episode 2 because it was Heiter's way of showing his love for Frieren. This show does a great job with visual storytelling. Just in these first 2 episodes alone, There's lots of montages that show the passage of time and tell us a lot with no dialogue. It shows us time from Frieren's perspective, so much so, that we're shocked it's been 50 years when she meets up with Himmel again and he's this tiny, old man (he's still handsome though lol). There's a lot more that I could say, but I'll spare you an even longer essay lol. Glad you enjoyed the first two episodes (and, I'm assuming, the entire show lol)
