The problem with this film is that it leaned heavily on the politics of surveillance without the deft touch of Gilroy's writing...so the film felt unusually tiring to watch...the first three Bourne movies got you revved up and excited to see how Jason tackled the corrupt government while also battling his inner demons and memory loss, but here he didn't really tackle the government at all, he didn't care what they were doing really, he was only there to avenge his father and Nikki and to get his answers, so the storylines never really meshed together - they were two parallel stories with an unsatisfactory resolution
