2025-10-23 04:49:14 +0000 UTCPennywise is an entity that stole the original pennywise’s identity. The deadlights are what *Pennywise* actually is. It’s from the macroverse. It is a genderless entity stealing identities or taking on the fears of people. The tv show coming should shed some light on this, showing how the entity came into Derry, Maine. The show is about Mike’s family in the 1950s (when the original book takes place with the kids!). Also fun fact: the book only ever kind of hinted at Eddie and Richie being gay through subtext but the movie makes it clear they were in love. Which is so nice. Edit: Manturin (a huge turtle that wants to defeat Pennywise) would’ve so cool to see in the film but I can understand how difficult it would’ve been to do 🤣 also in other King books, it is heavily implied Pennywise may not be fully dead… 😏
