I really appreciate that this movie avoided some more predictable elements, like an easy bike lock jumpscare or sequel baiting. Heck, I found it surprisingly refreshing that there's no real antagonist lore dump. Excited to see y'all react to the 2nd one! Definitely avoid any trailers if you can. I scrolled through the comments for the Black Phone trailer (this movie, not the sequel) and apparently it shows pretty much the whole thing. Never understood why modern movies do that
