I waited until episode 4x9 went up to watch this whole reaction. Now that you've watched the scene where Will and Mike talk about El in the van with Jonathan looking on, I can point something out I've been wanting to address since early on in season 3. There is a scene in one episode of season 3 (I wish I could remember which episode it is) where Mike is arguing with Will about the fact that Will wants to spend time with his friends, Mike in particular, but Mike is spending so much time with El. Mike says, "It's not my fault you don't like girls." The acting in this show is so good, but that scene in particular is wonderful because of the look on Will's face when Mike says that. It's the first hint that Will is gay, or at least bi. Before you see the later hints of that, especially in that conversation in the van here, it could just look like he feels hurt by Mike's words. That's what we're supposed to see at that moment. But, when you have later clues for context, if you go back and look at Will's reaction, you can see there's something more there. The look on his face isn't hurt. It's FEAR. Watching that scene now, it's like you can see him stop breathing for a second. It's such good writing. Oh, also, fun fact: One of you were wondering whether the actor under the Vecna suit and makeup is the same actor that plays One/Henry. Yes, it is him. His name is Jamie Campbel Bower, but more than that--Vecna's voice isn't done with an effect. That's the actor doing that all himself. He's talked about it before, how he can make his voice sound that way. There is a hilarious video of him singing in Vecna's voice. Link below.
