Just as an fyi Castor and Pollux actually comes from Greek and Roman mythology. Castor was the mortal son of Tyndareus, the king of Sparta, and Pollux was the son of Zeus.

2025-09-08 04:21:34 +0000 UTCAnother great reaction! Yes, the Hunger Games movies ramp up beautifully in terms of the more adult and serious themes one movie to the next. It's surprisingly well done. I never expected it. I thought this would be some Maze Runner or Twilight type nonsense. I mean, those were honestly good YA movies, and had their own followings (particularly Twilight), but Hunger Games is just so well done in the transition from a semi-edgy YA story set in post-apocalyptic society (how many of those have there been? Maze Runner, The Giver, City of Ember, etc), to a deeper story about class warfare with characters you actually care about. Andrew mentioning "I hope it's not one dictatorship going to another dictatorship" ... oh boy. Don't want to spoil anything, but this question does get addressed (in a way) in the last movie... Can't wait to see the reaction to the last one :) (Actually now that I remembered City of Ember exists, please react to that, and the Giver with Jeff Bridges)
