This is a kid who is clearly traumatized by losing not only his GF and a friend but truly believes there is a legitimate threat to the community. Do I agree with him whipping the town up into a mob frenzy? No. But I understand where he's coming from. If I'd seen what he did at the lake, I'd probably be terrified to the level he is too. Kudos to the actor. He could've just played it one dimensional but he has a layered performance.

2025-09-06 18:19:18 +0000 UTCAndrew, I agree about Jason in that scene. Mason Dye is SO good, and his performance is honestly not talked about enough. His character is so interesting bc you see that he truly is doing what he thinks is right but is totally misguided. His blind rage/grief at his loss is causing him to show really bad sides of himself that you know someone like him tries to pretend isn’t there in normal circumstances. The actor being able to portray a layered bully like that is impressive. Stranger Things is very good at giving you that type of antagonist in this series. Also, thinking of you Andrew 🙏
