watching the guys react to the laguerta reveal at the end of 4 was truly incredible, so worth the wait.

2025-08-02 19:15:38 +0000 UTCI'll never understand the S1-4 = amazing and S5-8 are terrible takes. Like sure the first half of the run is better but Dexter was never this masterpiece in writing that suddenly falls off a cliff after S4. S1-4 is also full of plot holes and plot conveniences but it's still one of my favourite shows and it's rewatch ability is great but it shines in mixing compelling stories with a sort of unique charm I guess and that's still there in seasons 5-8. Sure you'll enjoy some seasons more than others but it never really loses that for me. S8 is the only season i don't rewatch if I was doing a rewatch but that doesn't mean its terrible.
