As LOTR, The Matrix and the Star Wars Prequel trilogies were all wrapping up, the Pirates of the Disney Theme Park Ride took over the blockbuster summer fandom for a few years before the Superhero era began. Love this first entry by Gore Verbinski, a tone perfect action comedy adventure romance with great performances and a fantastic Klaus Bedalt then Hans Zimmer "Pirates" score :)

2025-07-06 22:05:32 +0000 UTCI've seen the first 4 of these in theaters but haven't seen Dead Men Tell No Tales so I'm excited to finally have an excuse to watch it because I thought the first 4 were great but something about the trailer put me off the 5th one (or maybe it was a Jurassic World situation and I was just done after 4 movies 🤷♀️ lol) can't wait to see Tara and Aaron's reaction! I was 14 when I saw this in theaters and I funnily got pulled in JUST by seeing Orlando in the trailer because I was in love with Legolas so I didnt care about anyone else cast-wise but him and my teenage heart was not disappointed!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣❤️❤️❤️❤️
