2025-06-27 01:19:16 +0000 UTCSome trivia Andrew didn’t tell them over the phone (which was fun!) is that Chrissie was played by professional stuntwoman, Susan Backlinie. She was hooked up to a harness with two teams pulling her every which way. BUT they didn’t warn her before they started, so the fear on her face, her entire reaction, was 100% real. The screams were recorded later in a studio. Spielberg sat her down and poured water into her throat as she screamed to simulate a drowning woman.
