I have watched a lot of first timers watch these movies and I have yet to see a single first timer pick up on that reference.

2025-05-28 00:44:53 +0000 UTCAs someone who loves MI 3, 4, 5 and 6, I was disappointed in this entry. (It basically boils down to the screenplay, and how the story treats Ilsa Faust as disposable. Ilsa is mourned even less than the Kerri Russell character in MI3 who we barely even saw. This is doubly disappointing considering Christopher McQuarrie has built a career writing character-first, smarter-than-average screenplays and which go against genre tropes). So I'll just say that I still appreciated the tangible "realness" of the set-pieces and the introduction of the Pom Klementieff character, who was simply cool and fun to watch.
