2025-07-20 08:36:58 +0000 UTCI've always thought this movie was underrated. Affleck gets some sht but he's actually really good when he has the right roles for him, and this is a right role for him. The Accountant is another - it all just works. It's when he has roles that don't suit him that it can fall apart, but I think that's true for most actors - I've always though the actors people rate most highly (and of course this is a generalisation, there are obviously great actors) are the ones that get their role selections absolutely nailed-on to suit them. John Hamm is good in this too, but I absolutely can't with proto-Bosch, love Titus Welliver, his Bosch is one of my all-time favourite TV characters and I can't help but think his role in this helped him get that to some extent. It's sad that nobody has ever done a Bosch or Bosch Legacy reaction and probably never will, one of the most ignored TV shows there is, despite the fact it was massively successful and ripe for reacting. Oh yeah and SWAT is underrated too :)
