After watching the Battle of the Five Armies I think that is what they're seeing because when Bilbo puts on the ring to escape Dale I noticed the elves glowed white as he passed and the orcs a shadowy black so I think that's definitely what they was seeing the light in their dark moment...

That is an interesting theory! I'm not as expert as some but that makes some sense to me! - PLD

OK random question to the LOTR expert peeps so when Frodo got stabbed by the Morgul blade he saw Arwin bathed in light and Kili after being hit by a morgul arrow saw Tauriel bathed in light are they seeing the light of the Aldar? (spelling?)

Any guesses because I got nothing! Lmfao 🤣😅

To answer a few of your questions the best I can…
Elves have an infinite lifespan as long as the light shine within them.
The oldest elf on Middle Earth is Cirdan and he’s like 10 000 years old ! (Galadriel is like 8000).
So for Legolas, 60 years is really no big deal !
Aragorn is from a line of humans that used to live in a land called numenor where the lifespan was doubled or tripled, they can easily live for 120 years, like Dwarves.
I don’t know if you intend to watch the Ring of Power tv show, but it shows you a lot of cool things about Elves !

I think it was said in the first that thorin are fili and kili's uncle. he addresses them as "my sisters sons". also in the scene in this film fili goes: “Uncle, we grew up on tales of the mountain. Tales you told us. You can’t take that away from him!” . Also I agree, this film was def better than the first one.

Cameo from Stephen Colbert (huge Tolkien fan) when the Hobbits arrive to the village. He is wearing an eye patch.

Oh, also I enjoy the last line of this movie, "What have we done?"

The second movie is my favorite movie out of the three, I’m glad you enjoyed this movie, too!
A few things to clarify (kindly, aha):
Fili and Kili are Thorin's nephews, their mother was his sister. Since Thorin does not have children of his own I don’t believe, Fili is his closest male relative = his heir.
You’re correct, the necromancer was Sauron (he has many names, as do many people in Middle Earth, aha. Can be confusing sometimes!)
We had seen Bree before in LotRs (it’s where the hobbits met Aragorn at the Prancing Pony).
Aragorn is 87 in the Lord of the Rings, I think. He is part of a race of men who live long lives (you can see more of that in The Rings of Power series).
Also I think you got two of the dwarves mixed up (again, easy to do) when you referenced one as Gimli’s dad. They all have their parts to play though.
