2024-11-22 00:44:04 +0000 UTCI didn't notice on my first watch but re watching with you it just clicked in my head that the shot of the camera watching the tv, then the fact that the smile entity texted her not the real guy. That means the entity in some way choses its victims. Seeing her trauma on the tv knowing it would be able to feed on it. I love that detail because they don't out right say it but instead show it through the directing. It's so cool to see director/writers giving such attention to detail. They had so much fun making this movie and you can tell.

And I love the choice to keep it a moving story in the way of the opening sequence having it continue as one overarching story. Can't wait for Smile 3 :).
