The Wizard of OZ (1939) - Movie WATCH ALONG!!

Comments

When I saw the flying monkeys, I immediately thought of the first Avengers movie the first time Iron Man, Thor, Captain America and Bruce Banner are all together on the bridge of the Helicarrier. Hawkeye and Dr. Selvig were brainwashed by Loki’s staff and Nick Fury says that he wanted to know how those two men were turned into Loki’s personal flying monkeys. Thor was confused, but Cap was excited because he finally understood a reference since he’d woken up in this time and says very proudly “I understood that reference”

yall hear about the Wicked toy misprints? They don't have links to Wicked The Movie on them but rather Wicked the porn parody company.

I started watching this on YouTube then decided to watch the whole movie with you guys. It has been 10-15 years since I've seen it. I do love to occasionally watch some old movies from 40s or 50s.

Ah yes also Gone With the Wind as well! I know it has gotten some controversy over the past few years but it's a timeless classic and also one of my absolute favorite! You shouldn't erase history but rather embrace it is what I say :)

I love this movie, it’s one of my favourites from childhood and the book was a fave, too. My whole family watched it together, every time it came on TV. The actor who played the Tin Man almost didn’t get the role, but the original actor, Buddy Ebsen (Jed Clampett in The Beverley Hillbillies) was allergic to the aluminum powder makeup he was replaced with Jack Haley and they changed the makeup so he wouldn’t suffer the same affliction. I just can’t see anyone else in the role. All of them were so good. Margaret Hamilton was fantastic as the Wicked Witch. I enjoy the sequel, too, Return to Oz, it’s based on a real sequel in the book series but it wasn’t well received. One of the stars of The Craft (will leave her name off in case they want to watch it and want to be surprised) made her debut in it.

Ahhh it warms my heart seeing Rejects reacting to old classic movies! They don't get much love on YouTube. Would absolutely love to see more old classic timeless movies! From one of the greatest pieces of cinema Lawrence of Arabia, Spartacus, Mary Poppins, The Sound of Music, to my all time personal favorite Disney classic 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea these movies are timeless and very good! (Quite long too haha)
