Awesome! Hope the reading went okay! - PLD

This is SO late and idk if you will ever see this but I’m a new sexy reject and loved this on YouTube so I’m going back and rewatching so many shows rn with you guys !!! I actually have the tarot deck Lilliah uses in this some of the imagery is changed to fit the characters more !! But it looks exactly like the show !! I even did the same reading for myself !!!

I read Tarot, and unlike many other shows and movies, this show got the cards correctly (the pictures of the Rider-Waite deck, and the basic meanings). There were a few small differences, like the Queen of Cups isn't a child sitting at a table. But like the other Queens, she's a woman sitting on a throne. I like what they did with it though, like how the Blood Witch (Hereditary Witch) being Knight of Wands, Wands represent fire, and the most active Knight. So definitely the same energy.

eps 8 dropped a min ago and I was finishing my preshow watch along, the guys saying she's content. It hit me, her ability finally saved people she cared about.

I'll make sure they see this! (And I second the Mike F love...Brilliant director) - PLD

I watched this episode a couple of days back and enjoyed so much and was surprisingly emotional that I hated having to wait to watch with y’all (but the vid doesn’t come out until like 2am for me on my busiest day of the week so…) But…second watch was all the more enjoyable…and even more tears this time around. Greg - I don’t like horror but might just watch a Mike F film because of you. Coy - it was weirdly cathartic to hear this week’s take from you. lol John - the purity of your thoughts and feelings for this show brings joy. And, I agree, this is becoming far more than a yearly holiday watch.

this was definitely a great episode. ive personally enjoyed this entire show all the way through. anything dark and mysterious is always my favorite type of film

PetMyChicken

I didn’t tear up but boy did I relate to everything he said about his fear of losing his mind and his ability to ‘word’

Wow this was such a brilliant episode! It was so smart that they made every time Lilia have a vision in the previous episodes pay off. Cause now when it jumps around and she receives pieces of information, it doesn't feel out of place, or overly convenient. We expect her to have these gaps. This episode felt super linear while also surprising me with its time jumps, closing all these gaps. God this was brilliantly done. It was oddly emotional for me at the very end of the episode. Her life began right where it ended. Lilia said she lived her early life out of sequence and we literally see that she starts to see visions of her deathly fall right as she starts to learn about her powers as a child. The closing of all these loops that the show started, and even the loops it makes in its own episode, with Lilias life and death connecting right at the tail ends, just scratches all the right itches for me. The show makes these things clear, but the audience is still responsible early on for piecing things together, which is such a rewarding experience. Hell, even in a wider sense, it opens the episode with a loop of Lilia falling and it closes said loop in the same shot at the end! Trusting in the intelligence of the audience and it all coming together perfectly was just what I needed 😅 Absolutely loved this episode! 🙌

This was a great episode. The make up on Rio/Death was incredible. So sad to see Lilia go out, but I didn’t actually tear up until Time in a Bottle played. I loved her saying time isn’t linear and then they showed us that for her at least, time wasn’t. Beautifully done.

oh one last thing lol. obviously the performances and the time stuff has been talked about but the costumes and set design were top notch this episode. This was probably my favourite trial of the season! Just from design alone I’m a very non spiritual person in real life. I don’t believe in any magic or that stuff. But the way they explained tarot felt the most real of any of the other trials. Like it actually spoke to me. Whereas the other trials were just pretty cool. Witchcraft in fiction is cool to watch but this episode made the fiction into something more tangible

Also did anyone else tear up a bit when coy was doing his part of the review? I love his philosophy and the way he describes loving words and language and stories. I feel the same way and it got me low key emotional lol

My favourite episode as well! I love the thought and care they put to set up the “flashes”/gaps in the previous 6 episodes. It’ll make rematches all the better The show isn’t over yet but so far I feel like they’ve learned their lesson from some of the faults of WandaVision and other marvel shows Think about it. A common complaint is that going into a finale there’s a lot of mystery and we wonder how they’ll wrap it up And then also the fake out Ralph Bohner reveal that annoyed fans This show gave us the Wiccan reveal episode 5. Half way in. Gave him his back story episode 6. And he still has questions. So revealed the first part of the mystery early in the show but now we have time to explore it more instead of a last minute reveal Same with death. The clues were there. And no fake out. We got it. And again, in episode 7. With two episodes left I think this is an example of a show that listens to fan critiques without going too far. Some studios listen to fans and go the opposite direction and it feels pandering or obvious. This feels like they actually took some critiques to heart but not so much that it would sacrifice the story they wanted to tell

We need to see Ryan Reynolds’ Deadpool and Aubrey Plaza’s Death on screen ASAP!!😂😂

Definitely my favorite episode of the season by far! The Rio reveal as Death was expected but it was done really well! I enjoyed this episode a lot more for several reasons, but I’m happy Aubrey Plaza is finally confirmed as Lady Death and that costume was dope, I hope she becomes a larger part in MCU. Finale episodes next week lets see how it goes
