Not a spoiler so don’t worry Season 1 and 2 were released in the weekly model (season 1 was the second Disney plus original after Mandalorian which is wild to think about. This is also the only Disney plus show to more than 3 seasons). And season 3 and 4 were dropped all at once So in my viewing I watched this season from 3am eastern until it was over all in one setting letting all the emotions get to me lol. The cliff hangers weren’t bad since it was a binge I feel like season 3 and 4 had bigger cliff hangers simply because it was a binge show. Not for you guys though, which is why I wanted to mention it

2024-10-02 19:57:32 +0000 UTCAlso I low key think the Seb and Carlos song was the best in the whole show. I forgot how great it was I typically only relisten to season 1’s soundtrack ALSO. You can see the progress of maturity within the shows writing ITSELF which I like. Think about it. If the rain scene happened in season 1. I guarantee it would’ve been like a 3 episode drawn out drama. But with the characters maturing so does the show. They didn’t draw it out, didn’t play into the miscommunication trope of so many sitcoms do. Within 1 minute they solved it. Gina looked out the window and cleared it all up Miscommunication is my least favourite trope in media and this show has a lot of it lmao (still love the show despite that) when this show came out in 2023 I got to that part and audible said “oh no. Please don’t end the episode with Ricky thinking Mack is with Gina” and when they didn’t I was so happy lmao

2024-10-02 19:55:08 +0000 UTCI haven’t seen this season since it came out so while I knew episode 5 was coming I forgot exactly how emotional it was That speech ej gave was a nice dose of reality for Ricky and the acting was insane The voice quicker on “what should I do” got to me It’s wild how far we’ve come. EJ started off as an antagonist and is now probably a top 3 character and a great friend to Ricky

I know it’s something completely different from this, but it’s just a miniseries so you can get through it quick. I know it’s a prequel to Yellowstone but you don’t have to know anything about Yellowstone to watch it. The only way it connects to Yellowstone is the last name of the main family and that’s it. So you won’t be lost or miss any callbacks. Also, Taylor Sheridan’s writing is so good in this show. Sam Elliott is freaking amazing in this show, as well and actually won Outstanding Lead Actor in a Television Movie or Limited Series for his role in it. The cinematography in this show is like a cinematic experience on TV. So good. The show is like they adapted the educational video game, Oregon Trail and upgraded it to its TV-MA reality. Highly recommend it.

2024-10-02 19:43:38 +0000 UTCAlso, you guys should watch Better Nate Than Ever when HSMTMTS is over. The book is written by the same director, Tim Federle, and has a lot of actors from HSMTMTS on the Disney+ movie. Also, it’s all about theater too, Tara will love it 😉

2024-10-02 15:00:25 +0000 UTCI loved hear Tara saying: “that’s why they said season 4 was the best”. And how she remembered on the flashback scene how much Gina and Ricky grow up as characters. Episode 5 is one of my favorites, and the 6th it’s so much important for the final act of the series. The fourth season is much more mature and treats the characters with a lot of fidelity. You can see the human flaws and traits that have always existed since the first season, you can see the problems that we could face everyday. I must admit that I don't like Seb and Carlos's traitor plot, I found it disconnected and especially rushed, but scripts aren't perfect. HSMTMTS has a special place in my heart for all those characters so well developed, for this beautiful love story that it’s Rina and it’s so incredible to be able to almost reach the end with you guys. It hurts me that it’s ending, but at the same time i can’t wait for the series finale next week.

2024-10-02 03:00:01 +0000 UTCI love these eps so much! The Rina rain kiss with "Second chance" from season 2 playing in the background is one of the greatest things I've ever seen! Speak out with Ricky and EJ is also one of my favorite songs. And dong get me started on Kourtney's song and Emmy's solo. All really powerful songs. Not ready for the end but can't wait to watch it again!!!
