Yes the twins are real life twins (it’s not another Lindsay Lohan situation lol) and a big part of Westeros lore that might lose some of its weight in this series since it’s a familial civil war is that kinslaying is the worst taboo in this culture. Worse than incest infidelity or king slaying. It’s why the story of the twins is still sung about in the GoT era (at least in the books) because it increases the magnitude of the tragedy.
