At 15, he came out as gay, and by 17, after being diagnosed with gender dysphoria, he began transitioning to become Izumi Kawase. After finishing school, she aimed to break into the Japanese mainstream entertaiment, but her efforts were met with rejection as the country wasn’t ready for a trans idol.
Undeterred, Izumi found her place in the adult industry, gaining a modest fanbase. However, her ambitions were far greater and at 20 she moved to the United States.
In her new home, Izumi quickly established herself as a star in the larger and more lucrative American adult industry. Simultaneously, she began carving out a spot in the mainstream as a model and appearing in music videos. Today, Izumi balances her work with acting studies, preparing to take the leap into film and television, determined to achieve her dream of international fame.
