Chapter 47 of Convergence of Fates (CoF) is out for Squires!

Since it seems that Patreon (or perhaps its google?) has decided to break down embeds for now, you can open the docs by clicking >>> here<<<.

A bit of a transitional chapter, but once I started writing, I realised I couldn't just ignore certain build-ups and problems and I have to let the characters interact. I also went back and added a scene in chapter 44, edited all of the previous Juno PoVs in the last 6-7 chapters, because her character felt a bit... vague. Anyway, I'm happy with how the chapter came out, even if it wasn't what was exactly planned.

Lemme know what you think in the comments below.

Also, you can read the previous chapters in the collection.

Well at least Harry realized Juno is pretty.

It's reviews like this one that always make me wonder just a touch if we're even reading the same story, smh. Or well, that or if the other person has the memory of a goldfish, but I try to give my fellow readers a bit more of the benefit of the doubt than that. When exactly has this Harry actually thought the world revolves around him? Matter of fact, at least from what I've observed, near every time this world does in fact attempt to do so - Harry himself does the equivalent of bitch slapping them in the face for the effort and going the other way instead, if you can excuse my language. The most egregious instance of this being that summer of dueling where instead of feeling happy (or glad, content, satisfied or whatever the fuck) about finally having people going cuckoo about him almost solely due to the fame he's actually earned with his own actions and then maybe think of trying to take advantage of it somehow - feels outright mortified and dare I say, regretful about it at the end instead. How drow, but I digress The Dumbledore thing has already been addressed well enough by the gentlemen above, but my personal recommendation would be to read the first chapter again and think how you yourself would react in Harry's shoes. And finally, believe me, I understand very well that you're one of the lads who've gotten sick and tired of Albus being taken to task by the HP fandom for his many mistakes and fuck ups, but do remember that any Harry Potter who does actually take a moment to ignore his Albus worship and think about the man's actual actions and the potential motivation behind them...would have ample reasons to neither trust the man one bit nor sit alone in a room with him until they're something resembling equals in the ways that matter (matter of fact, those are some of my favourite renditions of the two's complicated relationship, but they're sadly quite rare to see done well. I'm hopeful something like this is what Gladiusx's going for long term).

Harry doesn't think the world owes him anything, but he has a sore spot in Dumbledore. He's only human, but Albus Dumbledore is the one person he can't objectively look at. Also, quite spot on with being mature in some aspects but childish in others. Harry, while mentally nearly twenty, has the body of 12, almost thirteen year old. In fact, he can't escape the limitations of that body. Imagine a 12-13 year old with having a few extra years of experience. That's the current Harry Potter. He's trying to be mostly reasonable, but is still a child. And it's precisely because he sort of understands Dumbledore that he's not willing to sit with the man. He's afraid of the subtle manipulations, the half-truths, the well-aimed layered plans that might see him die in a ditch. Harry Potter craves control over his life, and Dumbledore is the antithesis of his desire for control over his own destiny.

Good chapter. Not exciting, but not every chapter can be. Looking forward to the next one.

To be fair in his reality at the very least he has a reason to distrust him (getting sent to his death), and there’s probably a bit of trauma about dying like two years ago

I think this is a pretty good Dumdeldore, but I feel like you waste him on this Harry. This Harry seems to think the world owes him everything, and Dumbeldore especially owes him. So many of their problems stem from Harry refusing to even sit at a table with the man, and I think it stems more from you treating Harry like he's a grown man in a child's body, which he is in a way you could argue he is, but he lacks the ability to understand anyone else's perspective.

I kinda love the Dumbledore you are writing here - great chapter.
