Chapter 89 of Shrouded Destiny (SD) is out for Squires!

Feels like someone is cursing me this week. Had hours-long blackout last night, and thus the delay. Anyway, chapter is here, and I will have to figure out to re-arrange my writing schedule to avoid such delays in the future.

Anyway, here's the chapter, a rather long one at that, though it might need some editing cause my editors are still at work.

You can read the previous chapters in the collection.

Please tell me Ned is heading back to Westeros next chapter, I can't wait for him to kick Waynwood all across the Vale.

Jacob Hall

She was last seen in White Harbour, but we'll see her again next chapter.

Gladiusx

Sorry but i forgot. What happened to cersei?

Dario Cameruccio

Unlikely. It will end up around chapter 100-ish.

Gladiusx

Fixed

this is probably the best ASOIF fanfiction I've read. How many more chapter do you plan on writing, will we get more than a 100?

The break between conflicts that develop, good between chapter where we see pretty much all sides. Renly is the only one we haven't heard from in ages, I can imagine amusing conversations between Renly and fAegon in front of the gates of Stormsend under the white flag. "So who are you again, the Stark deny you and the land of the Martell burn while you are here.... Yes, I may have lost the crown, but no one can doubt my other legitimacy..." After Adriana's goading, I can see how fAegon is slowly but surely letting his temper run away. Especially when the fate of the two dead kings in the north becomes known. fAegon's, Vale and Hightower factions' reaction to this will be interesting. Slowly but surely the noose is tightening...😈👍

I can’t wait to see they face when they find out Aegon not a stark be funny to bad Arianne but she basically hm a very fast girl anyway from books I read so make since she can’t have children 🤔

->I want Illyrio Mopatis delivered by me by the next morrow. I want Pentos to declare their support for Tommen Baratheon, the rightful king of the Seven Kingdoms.” I believe it should read "to me by the next morrow."

I’m loving the Eddard Stark revenge tour, though fighting in the Vale can be a pain in the ass strictly based on the topography. That said, somehow I don’t see it stopping him. Arianne is the perfect example of the ivory tower princess not recognizing real life. As someone said, she’s nonchalant; treating this war as if it’s business as usual, something she’d see a thousand times at Sunspear. If I were her, I’d be a lot more worried that my husband’s alleged family is not only strenuously denouncing him as a fraud, they’re actually reaving the coast of Dorne in retaliation! Yes, Aegon’s army is currently in an advantageous position (and to be fair, they still think Hightower is causing the North issues), but this Stark problem is not going away, and the longer and more seriously they object, the more it chips at Aegon’s legitimacy.

Garlan! He’s become on of my favorite characters so I’m happy to see more of him. Now with a dose of Davos. Also love Ned “All I Do Is Win” Stark. Can’t wait till he’s in the vale. I’m kind of sad for Aegon. He’s been tricked into thinking this is his destiny and that’s not really his fault. Now he’s going to get screwed for it. Another great chapter. I’m curious to get back to Robb, feels like it’s been a minute.

Omg am I crazy or is Arianne not taking this seriously? She’s very nonchalant while the world is literally on fire. And deciding to irritate and provoke her husband for fun while he’s going through possibly the most stressful thing ever..ummm she SUCKS! LMAO! And I’m thinking she’ll be grateful she hasn’t gotten pregnant when Ned lands back in Westeros to put everyone in their place. WAYNWOOD YOU TRAITOROUS CRONE! I almost forgot about her using the Arryn heir against his own cousins in this war. I have zero sympathy for that evil old lady. I loved the negotiations in this chapter. Also omg Davos needing an injection of something noble and pure in his veins after all he’s experienced… he’s so real. Idk what we can possibly expect of Garlan’s personal quest for vengeance but I hope it ends well for him!

Happy

Honestly? I woukd read an indepth story of garlans vengence vacation

David C.

Just kind of sad to see the starks be such zealous servants of bastard lannisters

Levy45

Great chapter. You do build up very well. Looking forward to next week's chapter.

Perraup

Another great chapter! I look forward to seeing Jon scour the Iron Isles and link up with Robb!

I checked and I stand corrected on Seaworth. But I reserve the Ser Tyrell because Davos doesn't know who the man before him is just yet, and he's not that schooled in noble courtesies. I would say that it fits the circumstances and the character.

Gladiusx

Still no, as Ser Surname is not a proper form of address. Just like Gregor is always Ser Gregor or Ser Gregor Clegane or Ser Gregor of the House Clegane or just Clegane when high lords are being rude, and never Ser Clegane. However, if you can find an instance that any knight was addressed as such in the books then I’ll happily stand correct, of course.

Cass W

But Davos is a Landed Knight as of now-, so Ser Seaworth is the proper tilte for him. The first use of "Ser Tyrell" was because Davos knew the man was a Tyrell knight, but not his name.

Gladiusx

Damn with Illiro in his custody Eddard will know everything.

Yeno Memevig

Garlan! It’s him this time for real. I’m so glad he and Davos are getting along, and battle wary souls can find kindred spirits. What Garlan failed to do with Brydan he can finally achieve with Davos. (And sorry for sounding like a broken clock, but it’s Ser Garlan and Ser Davos, not Ser Tyrell or Ser Seaworth. Same reason as I pointed out in the last chapter. Along the similar vein, has anyone brought up that Aegon is a Blackfyre? House Blackfyre is a proper and legitimized cadet house of House Targaryen, it’s not a name for bastards like Snow, Sand, or Waters. Naming him Blackfyre can actually lend him legitimacy, for he could have just been a random dragonseed. And random bastards are not even afforded a last name like Sand or Waters unless they are acknowledged by their noble parent. Perhaps Aegon the Pretender (or something similar) would be better?

Cass W

Thanks for the chapter

Ulquiorra Schiffer

nice, thanks

Kana

Try now.

Gladiusx

Can’t wait to read this later! But yeah the link is wrong

Happy

I think you posted the wrong link, it leads to the chapter collection rather than the new chapter

Aidan Jones
