Chapter 36 of Convergence of Fates (CoF) is out for Squires!
Added 2024-09-13 06:31:10 +0000 UTCManaged to finish without even falling into the allure of a nap and finished earlier than I expected. The chapter is suitably long, too. Error from putting up the Page tier chapter for all paid tiers fixed. I'm happy with how the chapter came out, but will probably go back and expand a little on some parts that might have felt rushed.
Things turn trickier.

Juno says, "This⦠this should not be impossible," when Dumbledore conjures his wandless mini phoenix patronus. That should be "possible," instead, I believe. Also, the comma at the end there is incorrect (should be a period), since the sentence is followed by an action rather than a speaking verb.

2024-09-13 13:41:06 +0000 UTCMaybe just a sudden missing kid promoted an investigation which upset the Durselys perfect life and social reputation. My last guess is the 'horocrux instigated the abuse' fanon and after the blood wards fell the shock of their actions and the pervasiveness of dark magic shook them. The Durselys were originally intended to be cartoonish in their abusive behavior (same with Snape) but the series evolved and their actions looked worse then jk likely originally intended. So having some strange magical reason for that behavior would fill some hole

2024-09-13 13:05:44 +0000 UTCI do like that Dumbledore didn't read their minds even though it would give him the answer to one of his thousands of questions. Shows that he has a moral code that he tries his hardest to stick to, and makes him much more interesting in this story than other stories that paint him in a less than perfect light. He's just a dude at the end of the day trying his best... mans got it tough.
