It's a bit unedited (all of my beta-readers have been busy, and RL has been kicking my arse very effectively the last month). Shit happens. 79 has undertaken significant edits from the og release in the Val PoV, but I'm once again not satisfied with how the current chapter came out despite devoting two days on it (though it might just be me writing while sleepy again).

I don’t remember if Olenna is still alive, but I would loved for her to put down even this version of Mace who seemed smarter and more ruthless before he died. I can see her looking at him now that House Tyrell is screwed and give him an “I fucking told you it was a stupid idea!”

I feel like the Wyl bastard fucked it up for Aegon. still not sure what happened to the rest of the ladies from the Stormlands and the Reach but Aegon could have switched the loyalty of those lords if he had their daughters as hostages and treated them decently (I'm guessing the others were probably raped if what they did to Margery was any indication). A little disappointed with the quickness of Theon's death hopefully, Balon gets a more gruesome end. Paxter and Baelor are idiots, putting everything on taking Winterfell while a northern army lays unopposed in the Reach. Wonder if Jon tries to reach out to Redwyne now that he has his daughter.

Where Ragnar's sons stand around the king and only increase his panic with their words before he is blood eagled. Jon "Try not to scream when I'm about to execute you Theon, if you scream your god will deny you entry into his kingdom...your blood will feed the weirwood. Your whole bloodline...then Arya will find peace...and your peace will hopefully be denied to you for eternity. And now scream for me Theon..."

As much as the Tyrells/Hightowers/Redwynes deserve everything that’s coming to them I feel bad for Garlan. We already knew shit wasn’t going to be pretty but man Margaery really didn’t deserve that. I’ve said before and I’ll say again I cannot wait until Aegon meets either Robb or Ned and tries his “I’m your kin” BS.

It’s an interesting point in the story insofar that no one is really winning? Seriously, what character is in a place that would considered a positive for them?

Jon’s ambush was marvelous! Theon died too quickly but we can’t have everything. I CANT believe I didn’t connect that Desmera’s dad is in the north! I think Jon has found a way to kill the Hightowers marching around the North.. Is Desmera pregnant? I’m suspicious of her septa giving her moon tea. So “King” Greyjoy might have a grandchild even if his daughter and son have been killed! Deserved btw. They were both fools and I don’t grieve them at all. I wonder if Jon’s comment about Desmera’s claim to the Redwyne seat means very bad news for the other Redwynes.. I fear what Catelyn would do with those septa’s… they came to invade the north and now her daughter’s bones are being sent to her. The Weirwoods growing thanks to all that carnage makes so much sense to me! The rest of the realm is such a disaster! And it sounds like things in Essos are only getting hotter instead of calming down
