the Faith is pretty much broken after the burning of KL. Cersei was quick to reinstate the ban on the right of holy men to bear arms. The Citadel can't do much in the North. And nah, that was some flavour/epilogue stuff.

The Faceless man had taken the appearance of one of Aegon's squires and taken use of the distraction to sabotage the whole setting and kill Aegon, making it look like an accident. Also, even if they didn't do the deed personally, Aegon is with the Stranger now anyways, so the contract is fulfilled. Tl;dr There are no refunds given by the Assassination cult.

But yeah, some lords on the eastern coast would definitely not be able to defend their lands if slavers come knocking. Also, let's not forget that the Vale is still almost completely untouched.
