If only the plucky Ms Croft could just return to the temple where she found that damn statue in the first place, she might be able to undo this catastrophe. Lara wasn't sure how or why, but she knew that's where she had to be next. She grew more and more certain of this the closer she got to the site.
If only others in the expedition would leave her be, instead of creeping up behind her with their concerns and constant questions.
Have you seen my compass? What kinda animal bone is this? Where did you learn to climb like that? Why are your ears so pointed?
Despite the circumstance, she was relishing a little respite from the maddening crowd. Blowing off some steam would do her a world of good.
