Hey everyone! Today, based on feedback from our patrons, we're releasing a new update - Version 0.2.2. Here's what's included:
Random flag events have been removed
Events now occur at specific locations on the map (sawmill, mill, etc.)
The limit on the number of turns in an adventure has been removed
Now, if you leave an adventure early, your inventory will be lost
Now, to leave an adventure, you need to reach the exit portal
There can be multiple portals on the map
Instead of leveling up the number of turns, you can now level up the amount of starting armor
Monsters are now visible directly on the map as pawns
Some game objects now have a chance to have a guard - a monster pawn that blocks interaction with the object
Map generation code has been changed - maps should become more diverse
Player starting position selection code has been changed
The Rose reward card has been fixed to be less wide
In general, adventures will now be simpler and more predictable
The background now depends on the cell where the battle started
Map controls have been added - it can now be moved and zoomed
Code for "wandering" monsters (which will move around the map) has been laid, but they will only appear in future updates (alas, sometimes the programmer needs to sleep)
Saves from version 0.2.1 are not fully supported, to try out the changes - load a save BEFORE completing the tutorial adventure, when Audrey gives you the barrier blueprints.
The link to the new version has been updated in the main post. This version will be available to Magisters by the weekend, if testing doesn't reveal any critical issues
