When they're talking about old movies like "Balto", Lorza says: "I had a friend in Russia who would watch them endlessly. We shared a room while I was studying cartography as she was getting her doctorate. She pored over those things and I had the misfortune of overhearing much of it. She went on to become a doctor in the UNN I believe." Isn't she describing Kaisha? Yet in this story they're acting like they don't know each other, even in private (e.g. "peering up at the stranger"). Am I missing something?

I tend to just write as much as I feel is necessary, which can vary a lot. I can give you a vague estimate of between 1 and 2 months but that's about all I can say for sure at this early stage. I do feel like it's going to be on the longer side.
