Changes to Patreon fees.

So Patreon are making some frankly dumb changes to the way that pledges are billed, which is going to result in lower tiers paying relatively massive transaction fees. If you pledge $1, you can expect to be billed up to $1.35, and it only gets worse when you support multiple people at once.

The creator forums are currently melting down, and I'm hoping right now that they're going to reverse the decision in response to the backlash, or at least find a better way to implement the system.

I've added my voice to the (enormous) thread of complaints about this, but in the case that this does end up being implemented, just know that I totally understand if you can no longer afford to support me.

I've made huge strides lately in obtaining book covers and being able to justify devoting more time to my writing, and it's all thanks to your generous patronage. Every dollar has been appreciated and invested into my writing, and it's only thanks to you guys that I'm able to make a real go of it as an author.

Of course I will continue to operate as I always have, and if these changes do result in many of you being unable to support me, I'm hoping that I can make up some of the difference in Ebook sales using the covers that I've already completed.

Nice, looks like we won. A lot of people already lost a whole bunch of Patrons, but I came out unscathed thanks to you guys.

Only the best and brightest working at patron right?

Percentage AND a flat rate is practically robbery. Should have been whichever was smaller depending in donation AT MOST. Do what you gotta do, Snek.
