So I kept drawing....

I think 95% of this has been completely redrawn to get to where we are

Indeed I reached a certain point in cleaning the last version that I realized it would literally take less time to reink and color again due to how use flats as stencils for my airbrush technique....

Which is ironic because I used a decidedly different technique for this version where instead of large airbrushes making a blotchy smudgy mess I used a hard paint brush this time to carve out more distinct shapes and smoothed it all together with color washes above

I think the most interesting part is how instead of rushing to get this pic out when it was truly done I instead sat on it and just opened the file every day for the last few days and just added finishing touches here and there until inspiration hit and I just started adding more and more flourishes

that said man... I love this version so much more than the last version hah ha

I usually dont show my wips because of how indecisive I am but I figure Id give an exception now given how inconsistent my time/ posting schedule has been

That being said this was definitely the exception... I dont usually get well into the coloring by the time I decide something needs to be redrawn. That usually happens way before the inks during the sketch/ study phase. But its fiiiiiine at the end of the day I have a drawing I like and thats a W in my book despite it being late :D
