Hey! One of my two pet rats, Mokey, has passed away today. For short-form in case you'd prefer to just know the update, still expect the Dr. Zodiac by the end of the Sagittarius time, but know some other dates may change around! Keep watch on the monthly lineup for proper updates.

On examination today, Mokey was either was having some enlarged-heart troubles and/or cancer growing inside of her keeping her chest from compressing properly. She didn't start showing any signs until about 48 hours ago, and because of my work schedule and local exotic pet hours there wasn't a time I could take her until today. The appointment was about two hours ago and she didn't make it through oxygen and a shot meant to help clear fluid build-up in her body. I brought her home; they wrapped her in a towel and set her inside a small empty box for syringes for travel.

I'm not sure if I'll be streaming tomorrow, I'm having a rough go of it today! She was a big constant for me, and I feel at a loss. Might change some scheduled times around in the monthly lineup to allow myself to grieve; so far I have always made a box with Benjamin and we've buried our rats together, the second time being with Trae, so we might do the same this year. I'm not sure yet what to do about Beaker, it is breaking my heart already that she is alone but she's always been less social. I might reach out to the same breeder I got them both from, Seventh Wave Rattery in Jacksonville FL, as they were lovely and I would happily buy from them again, but I'm not sure right this second.
