Vote pic: They Are Both Awful And They Deserve Each Other

In this alternate timeline, Vizlet and Lopin were born from the same clutch. Loopie is female, but has a very domineering and masculine personality, as well as features such as a large shelltooth.

On the contrary, Vizlip is particularly runty, with very poor social skills, and a variety of physical issues.

Since enclave females aren't really allowed to present themselves as male, Loopie channeled her standoffish rebelliousness into wearing technically female clothes, but with the very lightly-clothed style of a common male, and constantly bullied the males and females of the enclave.

Vizlip, on the other hand, kept her distance from most of the others, preferring to keep herself in confined, quiet places where she could read. The others were so annoying, with all their questions and comments and unnecessary talking, causing most interactions with her to end with her lashing out and running off.

Since Loopie's behavior soon caused everyone to avoid her, she soon turned her attention to the local loner.

Later, Vizlip found she was getting exposed to all sorts of new experiences while begrudgingly being dragged around by Loopie, and Loopie found herself enjoying the company of someone who didn't immediately run away from her. Vizlip may have even discovered that she has a *thing* for being grabbed by the ear and dragged around to accompany the much larger female.

And so, the two pariahs found an odd sort of friendship, which has ironically been good for them both.

Yea, this is why you'll see ones made by Val or someone's OC more independent and freely roaming about away from enclaves and such.

THEY DON'T

Val Salia

lol these two would be the awkward shame of both. Especially Vizlet, essentially having a clone of her hanging around that's just worse in every way

Val Salia

*Adorkable, in one case

Val Salia

Yuuup, the structure of their society makes a pretty big separation between reproduction and relationships. It's honestly not that frowned upon for females to be some flavor of "in love," so long as it doesn't disrupt their egging duties!

Val Salia

Emphasis on odd

Val Salia

This is too cute! I love them like this

ArcadeDragon

I suppose that makes sense. Reproduction in that society would be strongly divorced from romantic love

"Pure" lesbians would probably face some issues, but I guess that bi females have an easier time than straight ones. It's not like the girls in an enclave's inner sanctum ever really get to have much of a chance to interact romantically (the Yinglet version, anyway) with the males outside of their tightly-controlled breeding schedules (with some Zally-shaped exceptions to that rule, maybe). If they want any kind of long-term thing (long-term by yinglet standards) they pretty much have to look towards the other girls...

Matthias Preissl

You know, these two would work nicely as a "next generation" thing. Vizlet decides that Lopin does have SOME useful genes and he gets in on the schedule, and a little bit later...:P

Matthias Preissl

Awwwww! <3 That is so unbelievably adorable!

Komitadjie

Considering the way the ratio of male to female yinglets and all we've learned so far... Including that the abundance of bisexual or homosexual males stems from this ratio... Would that make lesbian yinglets a huge taboo...? Culture taboos and even fetishes in humans usually have some primitive biological imperative at their origination.

Indeed an odd couple.😊
