You know most of the time I’ve been impressed with your ability to have punchlines in each page without feeling out of place or interrupting the flow, but some in this last arc feel forced to me, like this or the cut aways to the derpy scav of the hit squad. I worry you’ve put too much priority on the goal of having punchlines, but imo they should really take a back seat in times like this, especially with the tonal dissonance present in times of mortal peril

Perhaps H.S. Merrs and Kass can find common ground over a tureen of escargot? Also: computer train wreck last friday, only just today got zhe Deviant Art and zhe Patreon cars back on zhe tracks. But will zhis "new-old" laptop locomotive have zhe power to pull it all?

Yeah, especially that 7th panel, like I can full on imagine him declaring himself like "I am Pierre de Beaumont, head surgeon of house Ivenmoth", while he slowly raises up a glass of wine, and taking a draw on a cigarette in a holder. I dunno why, it's just real vivid.

I get the vibe that the way he speaks is slow, drawn out, and with a french accent. As well that he is at most, annoyed that someone had the audacity to get themselves a gut wound before he could go and do surgery.

You can deteriorate very quickly from both conditions. Elim is... probably the one to treat first? On the plus side, the fact they are treating appendicitis is promising - indicates elim has a chance at decent treatment.
