In all seriousness, while it could just be a status thing, breeding is important (and fun, one assumes) and being picked by the matriarch probably matters socially even if you're a patriarch; I feel like the way Bez was all smooth there and Vizlet's reaction says a bit more. Headcanon adjusting Beziel from Kass's Tuxedo Mask to Vizlet's D'artagnan.

Hmm. Interesting strip. Good to have a glimpse of another perspective before whatever the next plotline is begins. Does this mean that Vizlet thinks that when Narklet wanted to pull Lopin aside to deal with him, he was going to -kill- him? Without her sentence? (Do the southern clans authorize him to do that? If so, it's odd that he capitulated.) Or just threaten him to make sure Lopin didn't say anything in exile? I wonder what this Brakka guy's history is. Apparently Vizlet thinks it's odd that Narklet would want to keep word of his involvement with The Thing from getting out. That implies that Narklet wants to protect Brakka, somehow, or maybe just keep all word of The Thing secret. At first I thought the exile she was referring to was Lopin, but now I think it's Brakka. Maybe Narklet and Brakka are associates, but maybe they aren't cooperating--maybe Marklet just has orders to keep The Thing's story secret. I wonder who's on Vizlet's breeding schedule, if Beizel isn't. I'd think he'd be a top pick. And I wonder what caused this secret opening.
