1-Month Birthday and Quality of Life

Hello my MODDERS and MODIFIERS!

Today marks 1 month since MODIFICATION APP was first released!!

So much has happened since then, from a new update, surpassing 100 supporters, over 20k downloads!!

Thank you all who have supported me and allowed MODIFICATION APP development to continue!

I'm currently hard at work for update 0.3.0 - Bimbo.
However, this post will be a little different, since I want to share all of the quality of life changes I did for 0.3.0.
There were a lot of code updates this time, like the Paths App mentioned on my previous post, but that's not all,

Saving System

So, the saving system in the game had a complete code re-work - meaning that in the next update you'll need to start a new game since the older ones won't work.

This is because a lot of additional information also needs to be saved.
For example, now every MODIFICATION you get is also added to the save file, this is to allow the Paths App to keep track of everything you've unlocked.

Also, don't worry about forgetting this and starting a game on a old save data and having compatibility issues.
Now saves have a minimum version requirement, meaning that if you have a save from a older incompatible version, it will not show it in-game - hopefully this will stop any bugs from showing up.

Skipping Repeated Scenes

Since the game is meant to be replayed many times to find new paths, it could get a bit annoying to always see the same scenes.

That's why now, if you've already seen a event, you'll get the option to skip it!

Originally this was going to have a VCR fast forward effect - since it kinda fitted with the whole "retro tech" theme the minigames have - however

1. The images changed so fast I feared it might give someone a epileptic attack
2. I got motion sick when testing it

So yeah... Now it just jumps to end immediately... That's what I get for trying to be fancy...

You might also notice the warning talking about settings, and that's because

We got settings!

Accessible in the game's pause menu, it has the some options that have been requested (allow fullscreen, changing volume).

Disabling the Skip Warning will just play the scene, as before.
I added this toggle for any players that don't want to have their immersion ruined.

These new settings are also a reason why saves had to be re-worked.

Start options

The final QoL improvement I did was that now when starting a new game, the player can choose the pronouns they want Mia to call them by.

This does not change any of the artwork itself. This is mainly to allow players that are turned off by male pronouns to also be able to enjoy the MODIFICATIONS!!
(or if you want to imagine the player character is a futa? I guess it also works for that)

And that's all the QoL's that I've implemented for version 0.3.0.

Other than than, I already have a sequence defined for the Bimbo MODIFICATION, and am currently drawing all the new illustrations and outfits for Mia.
This update will be a new branch starting at the end of the current Breast Expansion path!

Either way, time to go back to work, happy 1 month everyone, and I'll go back to my dungeon now!
