Patreon: unprocessed pledges correction.

Hey everyone,

I received a lot of messages from you at the turn of the month regarding your Pledges not getting processed. Patreon itself was sending creators notices about delays as well. I contacted them directly, and we figured out that in fact, yours truly had made a small but very real blunder when setting up the pledge system on his Patreon page:

Simply put: My Pledge system was not set up correctly on a timed monthly cycle, but rather on a paid-per-content system. Unless I make a Creator Post that has specific settings to 'activate' your pledge, your pledge will never get charged.

In effect, no one has been charged anything since November/the start of this Patreon account.

So, it's my mistake. I'm sorry for it.

How to fix it: I am stuck on this paid-per-content system until next month when everything will be corrected. The best solution for pledges I can come up with given the limited options Patreon has given me is this:

I will make a new Creator Post for November's content. It will be an 'active' paid-per-content post for processing the pledge you made for last month.

Then, in a few weeks, I will make a another Paid-per-content post for December's art pack. It will have a full preview of all December's art so you can see beforehand what's going to be released.

This will result in you having 2 active pledges this month. They would show up in your Pledge settings and would be processed on January 1.

I know this is not ideal for everyone, which is why I am making this post now.

If you are not comfortable with having 2 pledges processed this month, please withdraw your pledge.

Don't worry about any content you've already received, it's yours. This was my error and it rests with me. You are more than welcome to pledge again in January if you'd like when all this pledge stuff gets corrected.

2 pledges for January does NOT mean you're getting charged double! It is just the November+December pledges being combined into one lump!! No one was charged for the November art pack!!

If you want to support me for the art from November, leave your pledge as is. I will make a post to get your pledge on

December 12.

If you don't want to support me for November,

withdraw your pledge before December 12.

if you withdraw your pledge, it's totally fine.

just remember you need to have it active again before December 31st in order to get the December art pack.
