2023-12-21 21:10:24 +0000 UTCI am really noticing the choices you're making in highlighting - these short, squarish brushstrokes, often aligned in a checkerboard. Which starts to feel like it's evoking the dithered pixels of a lot of the retro video game stuff you take as your subjects. It's a really neat stylization, regardless of whether it's a conscious attempt to get a pixel-art vibe into your luscious surface rendering or not.
