October Roundup!

It is time for an update on Heavy Heart's progress!

As of right now, I've been posting updates every mid-month. I think it would be better if I started posting bi-monthly! I'm hoping I can start doing that in November.

Some bad news up front: This update will not make the quarterly release that I was hoping for. It will still come in a reasonable amount of time, but with a new chapter and a new world to build, it is a little challenging right now. I intend to release the next build with (hopefully) 3 levels to explore, although they may be a little barren and lacking in content. But the main story arc will be playable... Meaning that there will not be achievements/stars to obtain in chapter 2 until a get a few more sidequests and missions.

As you are exploring the new towns, you will notice your teammates milling around the city, similar to how they do on the Airship. It's a great opportunity to talk to them and learn more about them. While it won't be in the coming update, you can count on some Heart of Stones to pop up and allow you to gain some relationship points.

Ignore the black spots in the grass... This is in dev mode and that needs to be fixed.

In Las Luminea Celestian (AKA Elven Vegas) There are multiple districts to explore. This picture shows the Slums, where various races deal with the struggle.
Having multiple districts is very hard because the level is so huge. To make it lively, I have to fill it with lots of content, which takes a lot of time.

Expect the area to be somewhat crowded, with lots of people offering insight and sidequests in the finished build.

Aboard the ship, while you can progress your relationship with crewmates... you can fully expect them to progress on their own without you! Each character has their own arc, and sometimes they may mingle with each other. Thats OK! Luccia will not be blocked out of any content based on the interactions of other teammates.

Priscilla's content is not over. That's all I will say.

One of the new areas that will eventually unlock is a new Orc area. This will be a bit more gritty than the village in the first chapter, as well as a beach, and machine shop, and a mountain range. More on all of this later.

I want this next chapter to offer players a few hours of content that result in a satisfying ending.

Kevin content is coming. He will have plenty of opportunities to showcase himself with some of the other people in the game.

What are you hoping to see? There is a lot of possibilities that I can put into the game. I love feedback, and suggestions. However, I cannot guarantee all ideas will be put in to the game. I have taken may suggestions that are possible.
