The coral from the reference pictures were bleached... I didnt know that at the time, but it fits well enough. Science is trying to compensate, but it has become strange.
This is kind of the general level of detail I want to go for, for the most part, for most backgrounds that don't focus on the background.
It'll make more visual sense when the character is included later on since she will cover most of it and steal attention.

And also so nearby! I used to dive around the SEALAB II support tower remains and often wonder if we'd be living underwater by now if those projects hadn't been sabotaged.
