Dreamcutter By Ten Pennyfingers
TSUNDERE MILFIN By CUTE ANIME GIRLS

----------------------------------------------------------

[Summary]

The good, the bad, and the ugly.
One game about a girl fighting her inner demons, the other fighting the outer patriarchy.

One is a high effort, and the other is... less, but which made a better H game?

---------------------------------------------------------

Reviews:

I was excited to finally get my hands on what seemed like another competent H platformer, western no less!
Surely we're about to taste something different, a breath of fresh air in both art and gameplay.

Well, they got that part right... but not in the way we wanted..

This post was originally meant to be just about the first game - Dreamcutter.
But alas, instead I decided to make an example of what makes a good 18+ game without jumping through coding hoops VS what SHOULD have been an amazing H game that doesn't keep things simple - and suffers from it.

πŸ‘‰ So lets start with the bad - Dreamcutter:

An H platformer, which I was about to say "through and through", but it doesn't walk or smell like H. Instead, it slaps on the lewds in an almost disconnected part of the game.

Honestly, you could cut out the whole adult parts of it, and it would still play the exact same way, which makes it a very questionable design choice.

πŸ•ΉοΈ Dreamcutter plays like an average platformer - WASD, jump, attack, and a special hover ability. Not that we really expect much from these kind of games, only with one problem - that's all there is to it.

There are multiple worlds with new features here and there, but the overall platforming is pretty basic, full of enemies that don't post any real threat, and worse - they cannot be interacted with like 99% of the ACT titles.

Now keep in mind that this is 2023, where a game that just got released has no excuse to at least copy a concept that works.

Lewds aren't integrated into the gameplay whatsoever besides a boss aftermath, (unrelated at all to the previous events), and instead we get a slave / dom story between the protagonist and her weapon.

Even the story sadly ends up with a big nothing, as most of the reasoning behind it is "just because".

πŸ‘Ž And here's the ugly: I always say that H games with real gameplay are rare and must be cherished, but the devs are missing the whole point of said gameplay if it has nothing to do with the naughty bits.

Why should the player care about CG rewards completely detached from the main experience?
What merit is there even to play a basic action platformer over a non-H far more polished one?

But hey, you know what? Lets at least review the CGs, the reason we all gathered here in the first place...
Ever seen an H game with multiple art styles? because I sure haven't, until today, and hopefully it'll be the last time:

⭐ This just ain't it chief, but you know what is? TSUNDERE MILFIN:

Never in my life I thought I'd recommend a Match 3 over an elaborated action title, but to be honest - they did good.

The devs describe it best: "β˜ͺ️TSUNDERE MILFIN is a visual novel about a working relationship with a Muslim ladyboss. Solve match3 puzzles and properly invest company money to win the favor of your lewd religious boss :3"

Go ahead and google right now "Muslim H game", in any variation you'd like.
There's f*** all, nothing, nil. And I ask - why?

I'm clearly not the only crazy person that thinks it is pretty hot mixing the ultra conservative appeal with such an explicit concept.
I mean, there's plenty of commissioned artwork for it, so why not an actual video game?

Well, I hit that Hijab cutie as soon as I saw her available on Steam.
A little bit curious, a little bit amused, but highly interested nonetheless.

From the instant you boot the game you're introduced with a cute slightly animated art of our lovely lady Areesha trying to get into your pants.

Starting out, she'll introduce herself as your new boss, all while the MC ponders about did he manage to get so lucky with such a sexy Muslim ladyboss?
She'll explain the match 3 basics to you, including the power-ups that you earn based on your performance.

πŸ•ΉοΈ The office is divided into different segments, where each segment has multiple stages that will progress your intimate interaction with Areesha in different situations based on each office area.
Each stage also has a 3 star rating, where you undress her and also get a bunch of cute little moans out of her.

Not much else to explain here. It's a bloody Match 3, the one genre nobody can avoid, especially when browsing through the endless H clones.

So what sets it apart from the herd?
Unlike Dreamcutter, TM knows exactly the kind of experience it wants to deliver, which it does with great finesse, straight to the point.

πŸ’• The artwork is incredible, and the artist needs to get an award for being able to create such an extremely sexy woman without having to reveal almost any skin.

Even the gameplay, which is generally just an excuse to get to the goods, is drawn in light, easy on the eyes colors, perfectly matching the entire color scheme of the game.
Not to mention the smooth little animations whenever you interact with the board.
All the assets works in such harmony, that even such a simple concept proved to be entertaining when everything works so well together.

πŸ§• Areesha was VERY held back by the strict rules of her lifestyle, that she can no longer hold in her exploding thirst for men, resulting in quickly getting down to business. No story, no nonsense, just impress her by matching 3 donuts so you can glaze hers.

---------------------------------------------------------------------

Overall, although disappointed, Dreamcutter wasn't entirely a terrible game that made me feel like I've wasted my time, but it certainly didn't live up to my expectations of what appeared to be a promising action platformer.

The contrast in H content and its integration between TSUNDERE MILFIN to the former have reminded me that sometimes I'm looking too hard to find the diamond that was right under my nose all along.

πŸ‘ A good H game doesn't need deep mechanics, or super competent gameplay.
Although these are important, what it really needs is good context, good art, and a big plus if it has good animations.
