Vibe Check *Update*

Hey Primal Pack! (and potentials)

The polls from yesterday will be up until Monday, so plenty of time to get your vote in. I'm starting to see how things will likely shake out, so I need to start preparing now and either way I'll let you know the final results next week since the polls close at the end of the weekend.

60fps wasn't a big surprise. So I'll start aiming for that as the new standard with everything going forward and I'll work backwards through some of the other releases too for 60fps remasters to replace the current versions.

I'll do some more experimenting, render-time wise with 90fps and 120fps. Right now we'd be talking a total render time increase from 2x to 3x or 4x for the 90/120 or running it through AI interpolation to push the frame rate higher. In my initial testing I didn't notice much of a difference as compared to the increase render time, but happy to revisit it. I'll throw up a couple 90 and 120 versions and check the download numbers to use that as a gauge for immediate future priority.

Resolution was a surprise. Seems like most of you sit at the 4k level, but there's a handful of you soaking up that sweet sweet 8k+. I'll do some 8k renders of shorter animations too, watching those numbers as well.

The release for this Friday was going to be a 3 part Toriel release, but it's not going to be ready in time now. It's a 2300 frame animation or 5750 frames at 60fps. At 4k that's 4 days and 8 hours of consecutive render time, which I'm starting now. Depending on the poll I might try to AI upscale the final it to 6k, which is the max for the software I'm using, but I can't push this to 8k. For 8k I have to render straight from Blender and there is no opportunity for AI interpolation it to 60fps either, so at 5780 frames the 8k version would take 15 days of consecutive rendering to finish. Yup folks, that's half of a month to render 1 animation at 8k 60fps on a 4090, the highest grade consumer level GPU out right now. Luckily though we have a Wig Guilmon anim that I've already rendered the image sequence for (8k 60fps), is in video render now and will be ready just in time to put into that Friday slot.

So to recap, I'll try to put everything out at a minimum of 60fps and 4k. When possible (and as often as possible) I'll plan on trying to do an 8k version as the starting point and I'll drop the occasional 90 and/or 120fps version and I'll monitor all the versions, so beyond the polls you can vote with your downloads. If you want higher focus on something not mentioned, there's still time to vote for it.
